A smoked porter brewed by Lead Brewer Pete, 'Bird of Doom' is the latest beer release from our 250L Studio Brewery.

The Beer:
Crossing the threshold at 6.7% 'Bird of Doom' is a full-bodied, malt-forward smoked porter.

Fermented on S-04 yeast and named for one of Pete's favourite Nick Cave lyrics, 'Bird of Doom' has a resplendent malt bill, highlighted by the inclusion of Oak Smoked Wheat Malt, giving this rich, boisterous porter a pleasantly smokey bite.

We'll be launching Pete's smoked porter alongside our Festival Beer for Celtic Connections 18 this weekend at our Brewhouse Bar + Kitchen. Join us under the Seven Peaks to raise a schooner to the team behind the glass before jigging the night away at the plethora of Celtic Connections events we're hosting this winter. You can find full listings here.

This beer will also be featured as part of our first Beer Club of 2018, hosted by Mori on Saturday 20 January, check out the event page for more info.

250L Studio Brewery:
Beginning in 2014, our small-batch Studio Brewery has encouraged our brewers to take risks and concoct a vast array of styles. All beers in the series will be designed & brewed by members of Team Drygate, launching exclusively at our Brewhouse Bar & Kitchen.
