Settle back and prepare to be wowed, as acclaimed Surrey-born guitarist/singer Martin Harley – a rare British lap steel specialist, playing a century-old Weissenborn – and Tennessean double bassist Daniel Kimbro, a regular Jerry Douglas cohort who joined the Transatlantic Sessions house band on their debut US tour in 2017, stir up their own hands-across-thewater blend of deep blues’n’roots virtuosity. Having joined forces via a chance meeting and largely improvised festival performance in 2014, they recently released a sizzling second album, Static in the Wires, with a guest appearance the aforementioned Mr Douglas.
