The Turbans are celebrating the release of their Debut Album, which has been two years in the making, mixed and mastered by legendary producer Jerry Boys (Ali Farka Toure, Everything But the Girl, The Beatles!). International musical adventurers The Turbans bind together music from ‘manywhere’, igniting audiences with the bacchanalian spirit of the Eastern Mediterranean. Drawing on the rich cultural heritage of both the Levantine and Balkan regions, they create original music for the 21st century, inspired by ancient melodies.
Sonically huge and visually arresting, the interstellar live show embodies the skill, experience and passion of intrepid instrumental explorers from Turkey, Bulgaria, Israel, Iran, Spain, Greece and England, pooling their energy and creativity in a spirit of generosity and openness that is so needed in these troubled global times.
AND, The Langan Band! Award winners at the world renowned Celtic Connections Festival, The Langan Band have toured extensively throughout the UK and Internationally over the past 10 years, and gained themselves a large and loyal fan base along the way.
Glasgow power-trio The Langan Band create a dynamic sound that is rooted in Celtic Folk but encompasses Balkan, Roma and Flamenco elements, fuelled by a visceral punk spirit.
With a deceptively stripped down line-up of vocals, guitar, fiddle, bass and percussion, The Langan Band never fail to get the crowd dancing.
