Since day one at Drygate, we have believed in “open doors, open minds”. Now, the first part of that ethos is being tested to its absolute limit.

Like all restaurants, bars, pubs and venues across the world, we face an uncertain future. We’ll do whatever we can to survive as a business, while trying our best to support our very special community.

Glasgow is an amazing city, full of incredible people. We want to keep making beer for you, feeding you delicious food, and entertaining you for as long as we can, but we are going to need to change what we offer, to keep our team and our customers safe.

The bad news:

In line with the Government’s recommendation that people don’t visit bars etc, we will not be serving food and drinks on-site. Events are being postponed rather than cancelled wherever possible.

The good news:

We’re working on some initiatives to support the wonderful staff at our close neighbours, the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. We will also be encouraging customers to donate to the Drinks Trust - who provide care and assistance to the UK drinks industry - and finally, we’ll continue to help the team at the Drumchapel Food Bank.

From tomorrow, we will be operating a delivery/collection service on a slightly tweaked menu, serving the Glasgow area. We’re working on an app to make ordering super simple, but in the meantime simply get in touch via delivery@drygate.com to order freshly cooked food, cans of beer, and bottles of wine and spirits. These can be delivered to your door, or collected from here at 85 Drygate.

Our online shop will also continue to operate; order before 12pm for same-day delivery in Glasgow, and next day delivery in Edinburgh. We’re diverting a few beers into bottle that were intended as keg-only, and we already had a few exciting new small-batch releases planned, which will still go ahead.

Our main 25HL brewery will continue to operate for as long as possible, meaning you should still be able to find our core range beer in supermarkets, alongside our small batch beer at independent retailers.

With part of our team working from home, we’ll be here on social media running some (hopefully) fun competitions and giving away prizes of beer, merch, and more.
